Peripheral Neuropathy Q & A

Peripheral neuropathy, a result of damage to the nerves located outside of the brain and spinal cord (peripheral nerves), often causes weakness, numbness, and pain, usually in the hands and feet.

More than 20 million people in the United States have been estimated to have some form of peripheral neuropathy, but this figure may be significantly higher as not all people with the symptoms of peripheral neuropathy are tested for the disease. Neuropathy is often misdiagnosed due to its complex array of symptoms.

Symptoms can range from mild to disabling. The symptoms depend on the type of nerve fibers affected and the type and severity of the damage. Symptoms may develop over days, weeks, or years. Unlike nerve cells in the central nervous system, peripheral nerve cells continue to grow throughout life and have the ability to regenerate when given the right environment to do so!

The standard medical treatment for Peripheral Neuropathy is drugs and surgery.  This treats the symptoms and not the cause.  Our goal is to get to the root cause of the neuropathy and achieve a more permanent long-term sustainable solution.

Our customized treatment program includes the most state-of-the-art equipment and protocols, many of which can be done in the comfort of your own home.
This type of treatment is for you if you suffer from have:

  • Numbness Or Tingling In Hands, Arms, Or Legs
  • Diabetic Nerve Pain
  • Muscle Weakness
  • Sharp, Jabbing, Throbbing, Or Burning Pain
  • Difficulty Sleeping From Leg Or Foot Discomfort
  • Balance and Issues with Falling

This depends on the severity of your Peripheral Neuropathy. In our custom examination, once the severity is determined, we can better give you an idea as to how long before you start to see results. Some patients see results almost immediately and others take longer if there is more damage to the nerves.

Again, by getting to the cause of your neuropathy we work towards fixing the problem rather than masking it by only treating symptoms as the underlying condition continues to get worse. Those that seek out or cutting-edge treatment for their Peripheral Neuropathy want to avoid drugs and surgery and to know that they are working towards a true solution!
